Refunds and chargebacks bleed revenue silently unless you're watching the funnel every day. Skyzer watches for you, using a rolling 7-day window and rate-based thresholds tuned to store size.
What Skyzer detects
- Refund rate spikes. Trailing 7-day refund count divided by orders placed. Warning at 5 percent, high at 10 percent, critical at 20 percent - only when there are at least 3 refunds so single events don't fire alerts.
- Open chargebacks. Detected by Stripe / PayPal / generic dispute meta on the order raw payload. Chargebacks are always high-severity - you have 7 days to respond before losing the dispute automatically.
Where you see them
Four surfaces show refund and dispute signals:
- Home dashboard tile. Silent when zero refunds and zero disputes. Fires with red/amber accents when either appears.
- Insights section. 30-day trend chart of orders vs refunds per day, refund reason breakdown, top refunded products, chargebacks table.
- Orders list. A red Disputed chip on any order with chargeback meta. Also included in the needs-attention filter.
- Daily brief. When rate or dispute count crosses your threshold, the LLM writer promotes it to a brief item with grounded numbers.
Supported gateways
Stripe (via WooCommerce Stripe Gateway) and PayPal (via WooCommerce PayPal). Generic dispute status meta is also detected for less common gateways. Refund detection works for any gateway - it just watches for status flipping to refunded.
Signals are silent when your store is healthy. You'll only see them when something is worth acting on. No red numbers until they mean something.
